Winter Cometh

Before you know it it's going to be snowing outside. The trees are already changing colors and loosing their leaves around here. In preparation we had already got some heat tape to keep our water supply to the RV from freezing. The plan was set for insulating the area underneath the RV with bails of hay. Then I get an email from the tenants leasing my condo, "can we get out of our lease early?" In order to spare you the excruciating details; we'll be moving back into the condo for at least the winter. Other ideas have sprung to mind as well. Since the housing market around here is still pretty crappy we'll just have to live there until we can find another tenant come spring. In fact it may turn out for the best if we can sell our existing RV and save money for a much better one next year. Wish us luck!

Poop Will Light The Way

The hippies are running wild with new green ideas. The latest is a man in Cambridge Mas. that invented a digester that allow dog waste to power a gas lantern. Simply collect the waste with biodegradable bags and place them in the tank. Turn the wheel a bit to stir the contents and the lamp will light the way. Poop goes in and the only by products are CO2 and water. I wonder what other magical powers dog poop has? Could we use it to power the new Mars rover? Only time will tell. Facebook Beats Google in Time Sucking Contest

Think about some of the great things you can do online these days: go shopping, conduct research, meet pedophiles... well maybe not that last one. Anyway, according to comScore Inc. a recently conducted survey and data collection reveals that people wast more time farting around on Facebook than they do searching the Internet on Google. Yep that's right, 41.1 million minutes on Facebook versus a measly 39.8 million minutes spent on Google. Yahoo slipped into third place with 37.7 million minutes. Can you believe it? Since I first created MarriedToANerd.com we've been blogging the old fashion way. If you take a look at the original post I made called Hello World back in February 2009 you'll see the main reason why I created this blog. It's been all about me and my wife. She always wanted a way to express to the world just how geeky I can be. Now I unveil to you the new and improved MarriedToANerd.com website. The main homepage features a new side-by-side blogging view that allows you to view and browse all the blog entries from each of us. Here's the kicker: My wife really only has one post right now. Fresh Coat of Paint

Since the glorious inception of MarriedToANerd.com we've been using the same theme. I figured it was about time for a new coat of paint around here. So poke around and check out our new theme. I'm planning on making some other additions to the website so keep your eyes pealed for those too.
