Nerds Gone Wild With Case Mods

Imagine what you could do if you had all the time in the world to just sit around and dream up weird computer cases.  Oh did I mention this was in the Ukraine?  That’s right, these folks are just the 2007 entries in DPK‘s case modding competition.  Some are gothic, some are sci-fi, but some are just plain wierd.  Check out my personal favorite the Star Trek themed one.

The other photo I love is the one that looks like the owner never leaves it because there appears to be a jug of pee sitting across from him.  Check it out:

Nerds Rant and Rave about TSA

With the latest attempt at terrorism on Christmas day everyone is talking about what will happen to them on their next flight.  TSA is currently evaluating several changes and I’m sure they’ll be implementing them soon.  I found one fellow nerd speaking his mind about the whole situation.  You can read his entire rant by following the link below.  I will warn you he does get a little carried away with explicits.

All Hail The Geek Union

It seems like you hear about collective bargaining attempts at major retailers all the time.  Now it seems Best Buy is not immune from them either.  Since the demise of Circuit City and their FireDog service, Geek Squad has been gaining popularity and earning more money.  Now that times are tough in the economy, it seems Geek Squad must unite to get what they deserve.

Emails have been flying around internally, below is a citation from one of the emails, you decide.

“We have been having meetings with you, asking everyone to voice their opinions and asking everyone to help solve the problems we collectively face in tough economic times.”
