Geeks Helping Geeks Find Geeks

It seems like every commercial break on TV contains an ad for some dating website these days.  I will admit I found my wife on eHarmony, so they do at least allow people to connect.  Ask my wife some time about her opinion on the subject…but that’s beside the point of this post.  I found the ultimate dating site for geeks: Geek 2 Geek

Whether you’re looking for romance or just friendship, this is the place to hook up. Geeks are special, and their interests don’t match the kinds of questions asked in other dating sites’ profiles. We have carefully designed our profile information by including information that is important to geeks and their admirers. Not only that, but you have the ability to pick the most important characteristics of a match so that your matches most closely reflect your specific interests.

So is there a special section for Dungeons and Dragons lovers?  How about inputting your interests as: Powerful Romulan looking for one sexy Klingon to pillage with.  It just goes to show you there’s always someone out there for you, you just need to look harder some times.

I Love Geeks: The Official Handbook

In my usual perusing of the geek-dom online I came across a review of a new book; I Love Geeks: The Official Handbook by Carrie Tucker.  The book is written by a self confessed geek that dates a man in the video game industry.  In the book she attempts to explain the different types of geek, how to get along with them, and how to interpret what they do.

This book is an attempt to unravel the inner workings of us geeks allowing a female to get up close and intimate without being scared off or confused by our strange habits.

The book is available from Amazon for a fairly good price, however all you Kindle eBook geeks out there will be disappointed that this book is not available for download.
