I found a neat step-by-step set of instructions on how to set up a computer to computer network on a MacBook so you can share a paid Internet connection. This works great in hotels where you have to pay for every single Internet connection you use. Just connect the host MacBook to the wired Ethernet connection and follow the instructions to set up an Ad Hoc WiFi network for all your friends.
