Think about some of the great things you can do online these days: go shopping, conduct research, meet pedophiles… well maybe not that last one. Anyway, according to comScore Inc. a recently conducted survey and data collection reveals that people wast more time farting around on Facebook than they do searching the Internet on Google.
Yep that’s right, 41.1 million minutes on Facebook versus a measly 39.8 million minutes spent on Google. Yahoo slipped into third place with 37.7 million minutes. I guess I’m just not doing my share for my wall.

Since the glorious inception of MarriedToANerd.com we’ve been using the same theme. I figured it was about time for a new coat of paint around here. So poke around and check out our new theme. I’m planning on making some other additions to the website so keep your eyes pealed for those too. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks I’ll have the time to make some of the changes I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time…like dual blogging!
Nerdy Husband aka Jeff
Let’s start with a trip back in time, back in 1982 when just about everyone was playing Asteroids, young Scott Safran, a 15 year old from the US set the world record of 41,336,440 points whilst playing a marathon session of the game. Since then there have been a lot of people attempting to beat the record in a game that doesn’t allow pauses and, for the record, never actually ends.
Until now in 2010 has Safran’s record finally been beaten, this time by 41 year old (I’m guessing he’s not married) John McAllister in Portland. Mr. McAllister now holds the world record with 41,338,740 points. He had to go without sleep for 3 days and time his bathroom breaks accordingly. We can all sleep easier tonight know the Asteroids high score is still dominated by an American!
